Marklands Fiber Glass & Construction Company was established in 1991, under the sole proprietor, Mr. S. R. Makalanda. From its humble beginning, focusing mainly on fiberglass work, the company gradually expanded into residential and remodeling projects, and later on into commercial, industrial and institutional building projects.

Since inception, the company has moved forward with a far-sighted approach based on fostering long lasting relationships, not only with its clients, but also with its employees and suppliers.

Marklands was also amongst the first few companies that pioneered in fiber glassing and manufacturing paving stones in Sri Lanka.

How We Developed

Over the years, Marklands has worked on a diverse range of commercial and residential projects, including, office buildings, hotels, resorts, sports centers, manufacturing, distributing, retail facilities, housing, apartments and many more. The company has undertaken many challenging projects, and has accumulated skills and expertise in design and build, construction management, maintenance services, restoration and refurbishment and otherrelated work. In addition to local projects, Marklands has extended its service to several international projects in Maldives as well.

In 2012, the leadership responsibilities were transitioned to the company’s new Managing Director, Mr. Pradeep Kudagoda, and in the same year, it was incorporated as Marklands Construction Company [Pvt] Ltd, as a private limited liability company. The company grew by leaps and bounds over the next few years, under its new leadership, attracting expert construction professionals with diverse backgrounds.

At present, Marklands Construction Company [Pvt] Ltd is moving forward under its new Managing Director. Since then, the company set out to differentiate itself from other companies by achieving a steady growth and a remarkable stability due to its loyalty, dedication and professionalism towards its clients and projects.
